The service

Goods, locations and stock: the core of the warehouse

Receiving starts the physical cycle: quantities and integrity are checked against the agreed information and instructions. Items are then recorded and made available for assignment within the warehouse.

Before inbound, the characteristics relevant to handling are assessed: dimensions, weight, packaging, quantities, expected rotation and any requirements declared by the client. Feasibility is checked against the actual product rather than assuming that every type of goods follows the same process.

The physical layout separates storage areas from picking locations. Put-away takes account of item characteristics and rotation, while the WMS records movements to keep stock and operational availability visible.

When an order arrives, picking retrieves items from their assigned locations and packing prepares the parcel according to the configured workflow. Counts, discrepancy checks and reorder alerts support stock control over time.

Warehouse flow

From receiving to the picking area

The warehouse flow starts with the parcel or pallet actually delivered, not with the online order. Each stage prepares the next:

  • 📦 Receiving — quantities and integrity checked against the agreed instructions
  • 🏷️ Recording — items matched to product data and stock levels updated
  • 🗂️ Put-away — goods assigned to storage areas according to physical characteristics and rotation
  • 🛒 Preparation — the order is picked, checked and packed before shipping handover

Control continues through inventory counts, discrepancy analysis and availability updates.
